Headless CMS

WordPress needs no introduction as it provides every piece of information over the internet.

WordPress ranks a few steps further with its pre-designed themes and plugins by third-party WordPress developers.

WordPress Rest API allows developers to create themes and plugins and third-party applications with Headless CMS.

These themes offer restricted space for any types of changes and customization and we also notice many glitches, slower page loading, and malfunctioning of action buttons.

With so many possibilities that Rest API offers, we can use WordPress with React to act as a headless CMS for their JavaScript-based web application.

What Is A Headless CMS?

A normal website has a front-end and back-end. While a headless CMS has the back-end only content management system (CMS) and the front part is a stand-alone piece, that makes content accessible for the front-end display via a RESTful API. This means that the front-end of a headless website has no direct control over the back-end. This helps the developers in providing innovative functionalities to the client so that they can meet their unique business needs.

WordPress With React As A Headless CMS

WordPress is an open-source platform and offers great flexibility in creating any kind of website using the front-end of a web application instead of coding a full-fledged content management system in the native framework. WordPress with its headless approach brings the best of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS codings to provide a great web-interface while React with a high-end coding package saves the developers from creating long codes and helps them in keeping the website light without harming the simplicity of the User Interface.

WordPress with its back-end governs the website in the entire process of fetching data and makes it available for the user, on the other hand, React JS based user-interface loads the frontend in quick succession. This means that WordPress with React as a headless Content Management System doesn’t have to load the entire database in the first click when a user accesses the site. At first, it loads the landing page and the basic functions after that in the back-end it loads the full website.

Benefits Of Using WordPress With React

Better User-Interface And Design

A better user-interface and design mostly keep the users engaged. React with its minimal coding helps the developers to create a better design and user-interface. The codes can be written in a small structure which is called components and these components are used across web pages to create better user interfaces. Thus, React reduces the chances of crashing websites and takes less time to develop the front-end.

Instant Loading Of Web Pages

React enhances the web app scalability of your website by eliminating the usage of heavy code framework. It takes less time to load the web pages of your website as it uses a memory reconciliation algorithm to represent the page in a virtual memory before rendering the final web-page into the browser and keeps the web pages light and smooth.

Easily Migrate The Framework

Migrating the frameworks of any website is a very tough task for any developer and most of the frameworks are hard to manage and transform. Using React with WordPress offers more flexibility in migrating the framework and React-based web apps can be easily upgraded without shutting down the system.

Perform More With Headless CMS

WordPress with React acts as a headless CMS and helps you to design high-end web-interfaces. WordPress with REST API and React helps you to create Web Apps that can be extended across several frameworks with ease, allowing you to make the best use of the technologies available. WPLMS is a commercial theme built on WordPress as headless cms with react.
