  • Adding Custom Category Template into VibeCom

How to add a custom Category Page.

    1. Identify your category ID from the all categories page.
    2. Create a .php file like category-6.php [Replace 6 with your category ID]
    3. Add get_header & get_footer just like normal templates in the .php file.
    4. Now if you want to edit the
    a. Large Width Post style -> Copy From file blog-template1.php and paste in between your get_header & get_footer functions
    b. Small Width Post style -> Copy From file blog-template2.php and paste in between your get_header & get_footer functions
    c. Full Width Post style -> Copy From file blog-template3.php and paste in between your get_header & get_footer functions

The Category Page, first detects which Post type the category belongs to i.e whether it is a post or a portfolio or a client or any other...
Then picks up the settings in VibeOptions Panel -> Custom Connect, Category Template 1/2/3, from here it determines which Category template page layout to load, if none found then it loads up the blog-template1.php.
